About Steve Moitozo
Personal
Growing up in a Christian home and being homeschooled has been an integral part of my life. I was married for 26 years and have two young adult sons. My upbringing, marriage, and parenting experiences profoundly shaped me.
Professional
My professional background includes software development, startups, business architecture, licensing, marketing, and executive leadership. Because of these diverse experiences, I am able to think in terms of the big picture as well as practical solutions. I have learned the value of combining different viewpoints to solve complicated problems and explain complex issues clearly. Working in many different types of situations has given me opportunities to lead teams and organizations. It has also shown me the importance of understanding people's needs and perspectives.
Ministry
Serving in the ministry has also been formative for me; sound technician, Sunday school teacher, deacon, elder, and missionary. I have developed understanding of the inner workings of ministry: relational, operational, and spiritual. I have a deep appreciation for the importance of the church in the lives of people and the community, as well as the challenges that come along with being part of a faith community.
From family businesses, to startup companies, a 150 year old college, an international non-governmental organization, large churches, and small, I have had opportunities to work and serve in a variety of settings. I have learned to adapt and grow in order to contribute and thrive in each unique environment.
Pain and Growth
Several times I have experienced my worst nightmares: catastrophic business failures, miscarriage, special needs diagnosis of a child, and betrayal. I am grateful to God for his faithfulness through it all and for the way he has used every joy and pain to shape me.
"All of my life experiences have added depth and richness that comes through in my coaching."
Education, Training, and Memberships
I received a certificate in Software Architecture from the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute. I practiced systems and business architecture and was a member of the Business Architecture Guild. I also studied and practiced international intellectual property strategy and was a member of the Licensing Executives Society (USA & Canada). I use both my architecture training and licensing experience daily as I help product managers, entrepreneurs, and executives navigate toward their goals.
As a trained professional coach I have completed the ICF Level 1 training requirements. My current pursuit is international coach certification from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
I am also trained as a trauma healing group facilitator through SIL International and the Trauma Healing Institute.
But enough about me. I am here for you and I want to remind you that you are more than your goals. That’s why my coaching approach is person-centric and wholistic. My aim is to coach the whole person.
